That's my boat baby!
These are photos taken before the maiden voyage of my home built replica of an Aleute baidarka. I had test paddled the frame, wrapped in Saran wrap, a month or two eariler, in August 2001. All went well on the test paddle, so I sewed on the nylon skin. After these pictures, I paddled the boat out of Moss Landing harbor, into the ocean, where it performed beautifully. I was aided in both construction and test paddling by Sebastian and Stefani. Tony also help in building.
